Unable to start pool manager for TC UA 8.3

For a resent project one of my friend was trying to configure the web tier for his server.

For the same he has installed the J2EE Based server manager. The installation was successful without any error.


But when the pool manager was being started , it gave the error.
Due to which pool manager cant be started.
Following error was observer.
  
Server Details: TC   -  8.3
                         Java -  JDK1.6.0.21
                         OS   -  Win7 - 32 bit.

Please share your views , solutions.

  1. can you try uninstalling pool manager and reinstalling it, by first look seems like it's missing a class. also try launching it with "eco ON" first line for batch file and see if it gives any clues

  2. It's probably too late now to respond, but if somebody is looking for solution to this problem, I'll try these two things:

    1) start jboss with a "-b" option:

    run -b

    2) jboss takes a good 3-4 minutes to start completely. Look for the string that reads something like Collector=mSec,units. If you start your server manager before this, your pool manager may not find the java process it is looking for.

  3. guess in my comment (above), hostname was filtered out, so here is the command to run jboss again:

    run -b server's_host_name

    please change the directory where the mgrstartmydb.bat file present .. and start it from there..

  5. And you can do one thing, if you're executing this poolmngr batch from new command prompt, befor doing this just set TC vars on this new command window..
    To set TC vars, you can run %TC_ROOT%/tc_menu/_ _.bat
