Hello Folks,

My name is Nikhil Shirodkar. I am presently working as Teamcenter Professional.

I am a Mechanical turned Software Engineer who customizes and configures Teamcenter. I created the Teamcenter Discussion forum  to share what I have learned, what I am struggling with, my opinions, and my suggestions about various topics in Teamcenter domain.

I have around 10+ years of experience in Teamcenter suites of products ranging from Teamcenter engineering, Teamcenter Unified Architecture, I have worked as developer, Admin, Support & User with clients on Hi-tech, Automotive, Agricultural, Transportation sector.

My goal is to create the site that I wish had when I was starting my carrier in PLM. I wish to write posts that are interesting and sometimes even fun to read.

I hope you all will help me to make the Teamcenter Discussion forum a better blog by participating in the discussions.

I always welcome questions related to the areas which I have worked on.

    Hi,

    I created one custom tool and i created one custom dataset in bmide. In Teamcenter By double clicking the dataset the named reference is opening in the tool. But By double clicking the dataset without named reference also should open the tool. In this case it is not opening. It is throwing error as Unable to Open Dataset : Not specific tool is found.

    How to fix this?

      You need to export the created 0 byte dataset & pass it to the tool (MIME/Type). Check the final step while creating the dataset. There you have to pass the dataset as reference to the tool

Active workspace based Subscription Notifications OVERVIEW Subscriptions are memberships to receive notifications when objects are changed in Active Workspace. A number indicator appears to the right of the Alert button on the global toolbar when subscription notifications are received. Users click the Alert button to view the notifications.
