Unable to start pool manager for TC UA 8.3

For a resent project one of my friend was trying to configure the web tier for his server. For the same he has installed the J2EE Based server manager. The installation was successful without any error. But when the pool manager was being started , it gave the error. Due to which pool manager cant be started. Following error was observer.     Server Details: TC   -  8.3                          Java -  JDK1.6.0.21                          OS   -  Win7 - 32 bit. Please share your views , solutions.

How can we get the GUID of any data?

Hello friends, For this time, one of my friend have some problem regarding the how to get GUID . Here are the details..    In FSC, the data (CATPart: say for example) is identified as GUID. Sometimes I need to clear the cache on "cahe server" using fscadmin utility. This utility requires GUID of CATPart. to get this GUID, I open this CATPart in CATIA using TcE. It gets stored on my local machine in temp FCC dir . From there I get part of this GUID and then greps to get complete GUID fscadmin.sh -s http://localhost:4544 ./cachedetail | grep  "part of GUID" it returns me complete GUID. Then I clears the cache using fscadmin.sh -s http://localhost:4544 ./purgeguid/ "GUID"   All this process takes much time because each time I need to load the CATPart on local machine to know the part of GUID. Is there any other option in TcE where I can know the GUID of CATPart?

How to improve Teamcenter Rich client login performance ?

              Lets’ discusses how to configure the Teamcenter rich client to improve login performance . While working with my recent client most important enhancement required is reducing the time taken during an initial launch of Teamcenter on a client machine. Here are few steps that you can perform to improve it.      o Virus Scanning :  Exclude the entire Teamcenter portal install folder and all of its sub-folders from virus scanning, as well as, the $HOME/Teamcenter/RAC folder, your User folder where the RAC workspace folder is maintained.  One possible approach is to install Teamcenter to a location that is already excluded from virus scanning.   o Teamcenter Java: If your machine has enough physical memory, adjust the JVM size in the Teamcenter.ini file to a higher value, e.g. 512Mb.  This will avoid memory paging .     o Teamcenter Startup: Minimize the size of your system PATH environment variable in the Teamcenter startup script.       For example, use

Recently I observed a strange problem while installing a client on windows7 64 bit machine. While installing the process starts smoothly, but when it comes to add the registry it gave me the error. So finally I had to cancel the installation. The error is like.... The error says that Teamcenter is not allowed to make changes in the registry.
